Espresso Machine For Beginners

Espresso Machine For Beginners

Learning how to do anything these days is a piece of cake. With the direct access to the Internet, came knowledge about everything. I don’t know about you, but whenever I have a question nobody can answer that moment, I use Google.

Sometimes I even type in my question word per word in the search bar, just like a DUMMIE.

With all this, it is impossible to be any kind of Dummie, let alone a Coffee Dummie.

As I’ve mentioned before, the purpose of my Blog is to bring you closer to your perfect cup of Coffee. But that isn’t everything. Even when we finalize your perfect cup of Coffee, I still want you to feel independent and capable of duplicating the very same cup on your own terms.

Coffee Dummie No More

Do you feel excited when you’re learning new things. How about, learning new things for your own sake?

In one of my previous posts I’ve covered two basic types of Espresso Machines for home. Those two types of Espresso Machines are situated on different parts of the price scale. They are both equally beautiful and practical to use and come in various colors. I was mostly concerned by price before writing about them. The thing is that price matters to me, but that doesn’t have to be your case.

I tried writing from my point of view. That’s why I focused on the De‘Longhi EC 155 15BAR Pump Espresso and Cappuccino Maker. You can’t get a deal as good as that one for a better price, really.

What if I told you there is an ideal Espresso Machine for complete beginners who are not overwhelmed by price, and is still on the middle of the price range.

The Best Espresso Machine For Beginners

There is such a thing and it is called: The Breville BES840XL Infuser.

We’re talking about Breville again. As a brand, Breville went a step further and made a perfect Espresso Machine for beginners. The reason why this exact Espresso Machine is best for beginners are it’s many functions, which can be improved as you’re becoming an expert.

One of it’s many functions is Pre-infusion which allows you to learn slowly and without fear. This function offers low pressure once the brewing process starts. While brewing, pre-infusion function also helps to fill the uneven parts in your group handle and gives a full flavor to your Espresso.

Coffee-Kaffee-KavaAnother good setting is the Thermocoil technology – which basically means that the water will get heated quickly and evenly.

Auto-purge is an option that ‘keeps an eye’ on the temperatures of the extracted Coffee and milk. It also allows you to switch quickly from frothing the milk to extracting the shots.

You can choose preset or manual settings on this machine. Preset function allows you to brew a perfect Espresso every time, while the manual settings allow you to experiment with the customization of your cup. That’s why it’s the best Espresso machine, not only for beginners, but for experts as well. It all depends on your exact Coffee needs.

Clean me indicator is going to blink every time the machine needs to be cleaned. I already tried to explain how important it is to clean your Espresso machine after every use. This little indicator will help force you to clean it.

These are just some of the settings that will help you greatly in becoming an expert. There are many more that Breville includes, and they all serve you to feel as comfortable as possible, while becoming an expert in home-brewed Coffee.

High Quality Coffee

Latte Art CappuccinoWhile becoming a master of the craft don’t try to save money on store bought Coffee. I would definitely recommend using ground Coffee in the beginning. Don’t overwhelm yourself with the grinding process, there’ll be plenty of time for that.

If you have your favorite Coffee Shop, try to buy their type of ground Coffee. It might be a little more bit expensive, but at least you’ll know you’ve DONE IT RIGHT by taste. I love when customers ask me: ‘Is the Coffee you’re selling exactly the same as the one you’re preparing?. Proudly, I always answer: ‘Yes!. with a smile, of course. Coffee beans that we use in my Coffee shop (i.e. not mine, but where I work), are very special, as it is the process Bean to Cup. We’ll discuss that on another occasion.

To sum up, it is important to use something you’re sure that will give you a high quality end result.

Good Facts

There are many other advantages of the The Breville BES840XL Infuser. It’s compact size makes it a gorgeous addition in every single kitchen, and the variety of colors make it suitable for anyone taste. The infuser is exclusive to Breville, so you won’t find an affordable Espresso machine that comes with it. This specific part offers slow version of the brewing process. It helps to understand the very process of brewing.

Another helpful addition is the steam wand, which you must use with caution. Always let out steam (now you can say it and mean it) before and after steaming/frothing/texturing milk. When letting the steam out, turn the steamer away from you. I cannot stress enough how important it is to clean your Espresso maker. After steaming milk, the remaining milk on the steamer tends to stick. Not in a good way, stick, the ‘You have to use a buttering knife for scraping off the milk particles’ way. Use clean wet cloth after preparing milk, and wipe the milk off as soon as the steamer is out of the jug. Steaming Milk Barista Jug

But not only that, this machine has a little hidden drawer for all the cool accessories that come with it. Among others are, complete cleaning kit, including cleaning disc, tablets and tools. Stainless, steel jug, coffee scoop, both single and dual filter basket, tamper, water filter. Basically, it includes all the cool gadgets that you’ll need.

Bad Facts

I hope I didn’t bore you to death with the last part, but all of those details are important in the beginning. They might seem like a nuisance, but will give your Coffee machine a long life.

There is something that some might not like. This machine is loud, when brewing Coffee. Once you switch to manual brewing, the customisable settings might be a little tricky to master, but generally, there’s no need to go manual, when your Coffee tastes so good on predefined mode.

As you can read for yourself, there’s more good things that this little Breville brings than bad ones. Now, price concerns or not, this is what I always look for in a product.

Hopefully, this article helps you understand my world a bit better. If you have any questions or comments, don’t be shy. I promise I’d like to hear them.
